Map the trash and help make history!

On 15 September 2018, millions of volunteers in 150 countries will unite to clean up the world in a single day. These countries will be cleaned of mismanaged waste as a part of the biggest civic action in human history.

To be able to clean the waste, we need to know where it is – and that’s where you and your phone come in!

Download the app, and start to map!

Seek out areas with lots of unwanted trash in your local neighbourhood or nearby nature spots, and mark their location on our easy-to-use mapping app.

The power of citizen science

As well as helping prepare for World Cleanup Day, this global waste mapping initiative will help raise awareness about the huge scale of waste pollution.

The data will be presented on our World Waste Platform – creating the most detailed database of mismanaged waste in the world: opendata.letsdoitworld.org

This valuable data will help inform our Keep it Clean! Plan – guiding individuals, corporations and governments to end the waste pollution epidemic.
